Gainin' an Edge

TXR is proud to announce a new Sponsor for the XterraRacer! While on display at the 2008 SLC Offroad Expo the team was able to meet Edge Cameras. They are a family owned business located in Seattle with a strong commitment to providing the best possible video system. With superior performance over the competition, their product is made to last - even in the harshest of conditions.

The product starts as a portable DVR with 2 lipstick cameras. They mechanically fasten to a proprietary clear (indestructable) box so as to not come loose during intense vibration, aka racing! The package that they installed is the EdgeCam1250 - see here. The capture rate is 30 fps, at an impressive 720x480 and 520 tv lines! This is better than standard TV and just a tad below HD! The DVR has 2 card slots, each can be maxed out with 16g SD cards, and it will be hard wired to the XterraRacer's 12 volt system.

We are excited to provide in-car footage with a proven camera system. Where other systems get knocked out from the abuse of racing, this one will show you why running their system will give you THE EDGE!
