February 14, 2009 TXR will sport new GOODYEAR shoes! Since its inception TXR has been dressed with Goodyear Wrangler MT/Rs. Goodyear has been a significant sponsor providing the best race tires available, and they are stepping it up! TXR has been anxiously awaiting the release of the new Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar! See Goodyear's website. The new MT/R with Kevlar tire will be under the revised XterraRacer for the KC HiLiTES Midnight Special. Expect to see major updates to the X as it has been modified from a 3100 car to a 7S beast! The new tires, which have an improved sidewall (35% stronger for puncture resistance), are designed with an asymmetrical pattern and sidewall traction tread! This translates into more confidence, not that we have any doubts with the original MT/R, and will handle the latest upgrades without breaking a sweat. Upgrades include a new Bilstein suspension package, significant weight reduction and rebalancing of on-board components. This new tire will be put to the test in the Nevada desert. Powered by Nissan powerfull vQ 4.0, the XterraRacer regularly hits speeds in excess of 110mph!
