Team Xterra Racing : Who we are...
TXR exists because of the dedication of many race enthusiasts and supporters. We are a Xterra fans that believe in combined efforts for overall success. When we work
together, with a natural by-product of fun mixed with racing, good things can happen. Here is to an introduction to know the guys behind the Team, and Sponsors that help us get there.
THE TEAM!
Dave Blakely (Owner / Driver) lives in Saratoga Springs, Utah. Has been racing or fabricating parts for race vehicles for most of his life. He has several major titles in all sorts
of desert racers - including Buggies! He is proud of his family and loves to be the guy in charge.
Robert Pinon (Co-Driver) lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is his second year with the Team but is well aware of what it's like to race (enjoys ATV racing aswell!) He lives close
enough to Dave to be over to his shop as needed. Robert is a huge Xterra fan, leading the local Utah chapter of the Xterra Owners Club. He also manages the website, forum, video editting
and marketing packages.
Dan Spalind (Go Getter) lives in Hudson, New Hampshire - yes, you read that right! Serving the Team from the East coast over the internet, Dan has enhanced the Team by
taking on tasks that have helped define TXR. From manning the TXR T-shirt production to being our race-update guy on race day, his enthusiasm and commitment to offroad racing makes
him a perfect candidate for Dan's the Man!
Blakely Brothers - mostly living near Dave's have been a never ending source of help during prep time and at the pits. Doug, Dean, Don and Daryl have all helped in the fabrication
and creation of this race vehicle. There are 2 other D brothers, Dennis and Dana that also support the family addiction. Together, the brothers provide a Team effort whether helping
with TXR or alongside with Gerber Racing - its all about the YELLOW!
